JESUS looked at the people with compassion because He saw them as sheep without shepherds. Their religious systems didn’t give them what they needed most; love! But they found that love in Jesus Christ. Deep in the heart of every person there is an on-going search for God. Unfortunately most religious systems actually keep men away from God, instead of leading them to God. Too many times you hear people preaching about loyalty to a church or a denomination, when our loyalty should always be to Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd.
